State of Michigan to host MiVirtualCareerFair

LANSING  — Job seekers and employers can connect with each other in a live virtual environment through a MiVirtualCareerFair career networking event hosted by the State of Michigan, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 at michiganvirtualcareerfair.com/index.php/ “There are more than 60,000 jobs currently available in various industries on the Pure Michigan Talent Connect website, which connects Michigan employers to qualified talent as well as provides resources for job seekers,” said Joe Quick, Manager of Talent Programs, Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Tim Horton’s offers smile cookie

OAKLAND/ MACOMB Tim Horton’s offers smile cookie to benefit charity Tim Horton’s locations in Metropolitan Detroit are hosting their Smile Cookie campaign to benefit Children’s Hospital of Michigan from Saturday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 21. While supplies last, guests can purchase a special chocolate chip cookie, decorated with a smile, for $1 plus tax. Proceeds from this year’s campaign will benefit the Children’s Research Centre of Michigan, whose mission is to promote knowledge in the area of science and medicine in order to improve methods to prevent, cure and treat childhood diseases. STERLING HEIGHTS Donations sought to restore 1967 T-Bird Larry Sauger of Sterling Heights, a member of Vietnam Veteran Chapter 154, has donated his 1967 T-Bird to the Baker College Auto Restoration program.
