Opt out for privacy should be standard

The right to privacy should have its own amendment to the Bill of Rights. It is hinted at in several of the top amendments such as the first which protects freedom of speech and religion. Also, it may be covered under the ninth, which protects rights not enumerated in the constitution. But privacy, which affects all rights and freedom, isn't specifically covered. In the digital age, it is being taken for granted and needs more protection. Customers readily give up email addresses and cell phone numbers for small rewards such as a discount on every 10th pair of shoes purchased. People sign up for social networking sites that store and share tons of information about them. That is in addition to the information that people broadcast about themselves on Facebook and other sites. When signing up for a loan, bank account or credit card: consumers receive a privacy notice which states they have to "opt out" of the institution's policy for sharing information with everybod

Press mentions Facebook more than Google

Even before Facebook offered its stock IPO, it was getting more media attention than Google. According to HighBeam Research , Google received more media mentions during the first four years of Facebook, 2004 through 2008. But in 2009, Facebook took over with 27,000 mentions and so far this year, Facebook's media hits have grown to 42,000 compared with Google's 13,000. As a social networking website, Facebook is the most popular of any of them. But how much is their advertising really worth? And does it compare with Google's? An advertiser can start out fairly cheap with either. The more clicks by users, the more it costs. Here's a blog post regarding the two sites' advertising. http://www.wordstream.com/blog/ws/2012/05/15/ipo-facebook-vs-google-display-advertising Here's an interesting blog post comparing the two internet giants.   http://blogs.imediaconnection.com/blog/2012/05/30/facebook-vs-google-infographic/
