AUBURN HILLS College hosts Women in Transition conference Baker College of Auburn Hills, in partnership with Oakland Community College, the American Association of University Women and Best Source Credit Union, will host the seventh annual Women in Transition conference, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Baker College of Auburn Hills, 1500 University Drive. AUBURN HILLS CJPS Medical Systems completes relocation CJPS Medical Systems has completed its move of the Remote Patient Monitoring Business that it acquired from Delphi into a new facility in Auburn Hills. Assets purchased from Delphi were relocated from Colorado and Indiana to Michigan where the company will headquarter its homecare business. Except for growing its sales force and its clinical team, the company has the manpower to handle the manufacturing, testing and shipping of the product at this time. However, according to CEO Christophe Sevrain, if the business grows according to plan, the company should be creating significant jobs. The product is a small monitor, which is placed at the home of chronically-ill patients, such as patients with congestive heart failure, end-stage renal disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes or other ailments. Advance Auto Parts store opens doors Advance Auto Parts Inc. opened its first store in Waterford Township at 4879 Dixie Hwy. on Thursday. Steve Sulenski is the new general manager and works with nine other team members. A 29-year veteran of the automotive and retail sales industries, Sulenski has been with the Advance Auto Parts Team for almost seven years. The new store offers auto parts and national brands as well as several free services, such as windshield wiper and battery installation. NOVI Metalsa receives MEGA tax credit to expand R&D The state MEGA board has approved a seven-year High-Tech MEGA tax credit to Metalsa, a supplier of structural components for light and commercial vehicle markets. Metalsa has 6,300 employees worldwide and has a sales facility in Novi employing nine. This MEGA project will add 65 professional jobs to Novi, with 65 more possible spin-off jobs, and will include a capital investment of $1.9 million. TROY Suburban Collection donates Ford Transit vans to food pantry Last year, more than 50 percent of food pantries in Macomb and Oakland Counties turned away hungry people because of an insufficient amount of food. To combat the hunger problem, the Troy-based Suburban Collection is donating two Ford Transit vans for the Ford Mobile Food Pantry initiative. SOUTHFIELD ImageSoft plans to relocate ImageSoft, Inc. of Southfield has finalized the purchase of the ground floor of the former Wagon Building in Southfield.
