Entrepreneurs Organization Detroit honored for growth

Entrepreneurs Organization Detroit has been recognized by its global parent organization for the greatest growth worldwide. The announcement was made by the Detroit board member and Identity Marketing and Public Relations managing partner Mark Winter. “We have 119 chapters in 38 countries,” says Winter. “We are showing the U.S. and the world that the entrepreneurial spirit is not only living, but thriving in Michigan.” The organization has added more than 40 Southeast Michigan members during the last 14 months, taking its membership to 112--78 of which are in Oakland County. The organization’s objective is to support, educate and encourage entrepreneurs to succeed in growing their companies by providing peer-to-peer networking opportunities, world-class learning events, and monthly forum “board” meetings. Raymond James forms advisory group

James J. Marchand, first vice president, investments and Tina J. DeKiere, senior registered client service associate joined Raymond James and Associates in Macomb Township to form the Marchand Advisory Group of Raymond James and Associates, Inc. The group focuses on long term investment strategies to help meet their clients financial planning, insurance planning and estate planning needs. Prior to joining Raymond James, Marchand spent 17 years at A.G. Edwards/Wells Fargo where he specialized in investment planning, insurance and retirement planning. DeKiere spent 11 years at A.G. Edwards/Wells Fargo as a senior registered client service associate.

Physician Organized Healthcare System changes name

Physician Organized Healthcare System, a nonprofit organization, has changed its name to McLaren Physician Hospital Organization. MPHO is responsible for the negotiation, development and administration of a variety of managed care contracts for its network of physicians, ancillary facilities and hospitals. They serve as a liaison between the hospitals, health plans, employers, physicians and patient enrollees. The organization began in 1994 by serving Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. It currently represents physicians associated with POH Regional Medical Center (formerly Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital), Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center and McLaren Medical Group, as well as independent specialty and primary care physicians and McLaren’s various regional medical centers.
