Credit union promotes Golden
    
The Michigan Catholic Credit Union promoted Tracy Golden as the new marketing manager of its Troy branch. Golden has more than 17 years of experience and has been working with the credit union since 2003. As marketing manager, Golden will be responsible for all creative marketing strategies, public relations and MCCU sponsorships.

Businesses donate beds
    
Mattress To Go in Shelby Township donated five new twin mattresses and 50 queen pillowcases to Turning Point in Mount Clemens to help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness. Also, The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit received 11 new beds donated by Art Van Furniture for recently renovated rooms for families of seriously ill children who are hospitalized nearby. Art Van also gave a $10,000 grant to assist in the Grief Counseling Library.

The Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Power Value Lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Vintage House, 31816 Utica Road, Fraser.
