Rahm
Real estate and investment firm appoints VP of corporate finance
    Grubb and Ellis Company, a leading real estate services and investment firm based in Grosse Pointe, recently appointed Anne Rahm as the new vice president of corporate finance.
    In her new position,
Rahm will support the corporate finance group in providing capital markets advisory and execution expertise for single-tenant assets on behalf of corporate users, developers and owners.
    Rahm previously worked at Community Central Bank as a commercial lending officer responsible for managing a commercial loan portfolio with approximately $20 million in exposure. 


Carter

Carter joins board for Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association
    
Michelle Carter, a partner in Bodman LLP’s Troy office, has
been elected to a threeyear term on the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association’s Board of Directors.
    An emerging leader in the Michigan Bar, Carter also has served as president of the Wolverine Bar
Association, and has been recognized as a rising star in “Michigan Super Lawyers.”

 
Kramer
Firm hires Kramer to cover intellectual property issues
    
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, a leading busi
ness law firm based in Detroit, hired Anessa Owen Kramer as a partner in its intellectual property practice group of its corporate and securities department.
    Kramer, recognized as one of the 25
“Leaders in the Law” in 2010 by “Michigan Lawyers Weekly,” will concentrate her practice on trademark laws, handling domain name issues and providing advice relating to advertising and marketing.

Rochester Hills-based United Solar, a leading global manufacturer of UNISOLAR brand rooftop solar panels — and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Energy Conversion Devices has launched a new website at www.uni-solar.com.
