Weingartz is accepting nonperishable food donations to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank through Oct. 18 at 6585 Dixie Hwy. in Clarkston. FBI appoints Cooley Law School professor to advisory board
FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III has appointed Cooley Law School Associate Professor Alan Gershel to the Criminal Justice Information Services Advisory Policy Board. Gershel will represent the prosecutorial sector of the criminal justice community. Gershel joined Cooley’s faculty in 2008 after serving the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Michigan in Detroit for nearly 30 years. He was the chief of the criminal division at the time of his departure.

Regional Medical Center adds orthopedic doctor
Dr. Andrew F. Ajluni, D.O.,  has joined the staff at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center as a specialist in orthopedics. He received his medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center and a fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at Joint Implant Surgeons in New Albany, Ohio. He practices with Associated Orthopedists of Detroit, 24715 Little Mack, St. Clair Shores.

Stylist Bill Ristov takes scissors to Sydney Blake
Hair Stylist Bill Ristov has moved to Sydney Blake beauty spaces in downtown Birmingham. Ristov formerly owned and operated Red - The Salon in Birmingham for eight years. The last four years, he has been styling in downtown Ferndale.
Ristov has attended some of the most prestigious programs and academies of hairstyling such as Bumble and Bumble academy, Toni and Guy, Redken 5th Avenue, Pivot Point, and Privé. Ristov has been invited to style hair for New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park styling for such shows as Michael Kors, Carolina Herrara, Rosa Cha, and John Varvados to name a few. Locally his work has been featured in photo-shoots for Hour magazine, Clear Magazine, Fitness Magazine, The Metrotimes and RealDetroit.
