Wayne State conference focuses on business success in lean economy

Wayne State hosts conference
E2 Detroit 2010 conference, “The Lean Launch: Creating a Business in a Down Economy” is 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Wayne State University.
The event will bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, authors, investors and others for networking.
Business experts and CEOs of local startups will share their successes and challenges to provide real-world insight to entrepreneurs seeking practical knowledge and advice on how to be successful in a lean economy.

A business after-hours mixer for area businesses is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Applebee’s, 2553 Elizabeth Lake Road.
Cost is $10 for Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce members and $15 for nonmembers.
