Rainy Day Hobbies’ first anniversary open house is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at 22961 Woodward Ave., Ferndale. Festivities include: sandwiches, popcorn and refreshments, radio-controlled helicopter and car demonstrations, presentations of vintage railroad footage and special merchandise discounts. Dykema gains new associate
Lauren M. Phillips has joined Dykema as an associate in the litigation department. Her practice focuses on general litigation, with an emphasis on business and commercial litigation. In law school, Phillips was a Dean’s Scholar and Lombard Fellow. Phillips interned for Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly of the Michigan Supreme Court and Chief Judge Gerald Rosen of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She also spent a summer working at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. A resident of St. Clair Shores, Phillips received a bachelor’s degree with distinction from the University of Michigan and a juris doctorate, cum laude, from Wayne State University.

Guarini elected to Leader Dogs Board of Directors
Steve Guarini, accounting and audit partner for Godfrey Hammel, Danneels & Co. in St. Clair Shores, was elected to the Leader Dogs for the Blind Board of Directors and will serve as chairman of the Audit Committee.
The mission of Leader Dogs for the Blind, based in Rochester, is to enhance the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired by partnering them with guide dogs.

Last Call Services in Warren provides transportation for people and their vehicles to be sure everyone travels safely.
Last Call Services sends two of its associates to pick up clients anywhere in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties. One associate will drive the client home in his or her vehicle while the second follows in the company vehicle. Service is provided daily from 7 p.m.-3 a.m. and by appointment.
