Inventors make it happen

The Inventors’ Council of Mid-Michigan monthly meeting is a great place to move an idea forward. The group meets in Burton, which is east of Flint. The next meeting is 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 13 at Walli’s, 1341 S. Center Road, Burton. The meetings help inventors pursue their dreams of bringing new and innovative products to market and includes networking time, guest speaker and time for members to showcase new products. It costs $5 to attend plus meal, if desired. The best part is having access to the group leadership who help people take an idea to fruition. For more information, visit www.inventorscouncil.org/.

Tim Horton’s offers smile cookie

OAKLAND/ MACOMB Tim Horton’s offers smile cookie to benefit charity Tim Horton’s locations in Metropolitan Detroit are hosting their Smile Cookie campaign to benefit Children’s Hospital of Michigan from Saturday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 21. While supplies last, guests can purchase a special chocolate chip cookie, decorated with a smile, for $1 plus tax.
