hiredMYway.com is hosting its inaugural career fair, showcasing more than 40 companies and 3,000 Michigan jobs at the Rock Financial Showplace, at 9 a.m. July 1 at Rock Financial Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi. Friedman Real Estate Group negotiates sales and leases
Friedman Real Estate Group, Inc., a Farmington Hills-based commercial real estate organization, recently negotiated the sale of 78,529 square feet of office space at 23777 Southfield Road in Southfield. The seller, Schoolhouse Finance, sold the property to Edison Oakland Public School Academy. The building will be used as a kindergarten through 12th grade charter school, which will accommodate approximately 1,000 students.
Friedman also negotiated the sale of 3,408 square feet of retail/office space at 5 N. Washington in Oxford. The seller, PNC Bank, National Association, sold the property to TMJ Realty Management, LLC who will be using the space for his business, Funky Monkey Toys, Inc., a specialty toy store with a focus on classic and hard to find toys, which plans to open in August.
Friedman recently negotiated new and renewed leases for the following in the Penobscot Building, Detroit; Farmington Hills Corporate Center I, Northville; industrial space at 24404 Catherine Industrial Drive in Novi and 17,430 square feet of office space at 755 Tower Drive in Troy. Chipotle expands produce program
Chipotle Mexican Grill is expanding its locally grown produce program. The company began serving produce from local farms in all of its restaurants two years ago.
Chipotle is working with some 50 local, family owned farms to provide romaine lettuce, green bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, red onions, oregano and tomatoes to restaurant locations around the country. The produce generally comes from within about 250 miles of Chipotle’s distribution centers. On average, produce eaten in America travels some 1,500 miles from where it is grown to where it is consumed. Chipotle will serve about 5 million pounds of produce from local farms this year. Credit Union ONE has been selected the 2010 New Business of the Year for its West Bloomfield branch by the Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce.
