My Girlfriend’s Business Weekend will benefit Women Healing Women, which provides scholarships for women and helps women start their own businesses. Detroit Faces “Beyond My Business Card” is 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 at Coach Insignia, 200 Renaissance Center. Tickets are $30 per person.
“A Better You, A Better Me,” is 7 p.m. Friday,
Aug. 27 at Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, 17123 N. Laurel Park Place in Livonia. This free event is hosted by No Limits Outreach Ministries. For information, call 734-272-2580. Pink Pajamas & Pillow Party hosted by My Girlfriend’s Business follows.
Girlfriends Go Golfing is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Rogell Golf Course, 18601 Berg Road, Detroit. The event includes golfing and cooking demonstrations and eating tips. Tickets are $30.

Pearson named a top college entrepreneur
Local entrepreneur and Central Michigan University student, Daniel Pearson, was recently named one of the top five college entrepreneurs in the U.S. by Entrepreneur Magazine.
His business plan includes a process to revolutionize consumer transactions to help save them money while protecting against identity fraud. Pearson has promised to donate 10 percent of all transaction fees to charitable causes.
