DG Technologies holds open house
DG Technologies, provider of vehicle network solutions for automotive, heavy-duty truck and bus, military, construction, and agricultural vehicles, held an open house at their 33604 W. Eight Mile Road headquarters in Farmington Hills Sept. 23 with presentations relating to their 45 percent growth over the past two years. Henry Ford names new human resources VP
Jason Desentz is the new vice president of human resources at Henry Ford Macomb. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration from Lawrence Technological University.

Henry Ford fills backpacks
Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals has teamed up with the Macomb County Intermediate School District to provide school supplies to the county’s homeless children. This year they filled 212 backpacks, collected more than 200 pounds of additional supplies and donated cash and Little Caesar’s pizza gift cards. This enabled the MISD to provide assistance to more than a quarter of the county’s homeless children.

Huntington Insurance adds Betsy Reich as assistant sales VP
Huntington Insurance Inc., as part of their new expansion initiative with Huntington Bank, has added Betsy Reich as their newest assistant vice president of sales for personal and commercial insurance lines. She joins Huntington Bank’s Private Financial Group at their location in downtown Birmingham. Reich brings 15 years of insurance and sales experience, including ownership of her own insurance agency for 13 years in the Birmingham-Bloomfield area. She holds licenses in Property and Casualty, Life and Health and is a graduate of the University of Michigan, holding both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Eisbrenner promotes Melissa Zula to controller
Eisbrenner Public Relations, a Royal Oak-based marketing communications firm, has promoted Melissa Zula of Sterling Heights from accounting manager to controller. Zula is responsible for the accounting operations of the firm, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records and implementation of a set of controls. Her counsel effectively mitigates risk and enhances accuracy while managing the financial records of the firm and its clients. Prior to joining Eisbrenner Public Relations in 2007, Zula worked for Adams Automation in Southfield for 15 years.

Automotive Hall of Fame names new presidentWilliam R. Chapin was named the new president of the Automotive Hall of Fame. Chapin was previously on the board of directors. The Automotive Hall of Fame also has elected four new board members to its 21-person board: John J. Bailey, chairman of John Bailey & Associates Public Relations, a Lambert, Edwards & Associates Co.; Bruce Brownlee, senior executive administrator, external affairs-Toyota Technical Center; Thomas J. Manganello, partner and chair of Warner Norcross & Judd’s Automotive Industry Group; Michael K. Simonte, executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer of American Axle & Manufacturing.

Allstate names Dave Wagner  ‘Startup Agent of the Year’
