8th Annual Women’s Expo slated
The Oxford Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 8th Annual Women’s Expo 2010, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at Oxford Middle School, 1420 E. Lakeville Road, Oxford. Admission is free. The first 250 guests receive a free special 2010 Women’s Expo tote bag. This year’s expo will feature over 80 diversified vendors, demonstrations, entertainment, educational speakers focusing on health and family and a Woman’s Luxury Raffle to raise money for the POH Riley Foundation-Saving Lives One Mammogram at a Time. Business marketing plan class offered
Birmingham Community Education’s “Small Business Marketing Plan” class will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Seaholm High School, 2436 W. Lincoln St., room G106.
In this three-hour course participants will define a product or service, analyze the marketplace including competitors, determine pricing, develop a strategy for delivering the product to customers, and also learn how to promote the product. Women’s “Take Charge” seminar offered
Inforum, a professional women’s alliance, is hosting a seminar presented by Eleni Kelakos, president of Eleni Kelakos Enterprises, Ltd. The seminar is titled, “Take Charge, Take Action, and Take Up Your Rightful Place in the World and the Workplace,” from 7:30 -10:30 a.m. Oct. 12 at Walsh College, 3838 Livernois Road, Room 112, Troy.
