Oxford recognized as Five Star Community by U-M
Oxford has been recognized for its work to foster entrepreneurial growth and economic development in a study by researchers at the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Center for Innovation Research (iLabs). Oxford was honored as a Five Star community along with 55 other communities across Michigan.
There are 190 businesses in the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) district. Since September 2008, with assistance from the DDA Façade and Sign Grant program, there has been more than $2,700,000 in total investments made (public and private combined) in the physical improvement of the DDA district.

Riverwalk master plan receives award
Auburn Hills received the Planning Excellence 2010 Award from the Michigan Association of Planning for the city’s Riverwalk master plan. The plan envisions a riverfront park system linked to the regional Clinton River Trail network and connected to the city’s downtown core that will host a wide range of recreational and leisure activities for local residents and visitors.
