BorgWarner expecting good 2011

 Auburn Hills-based BorgWarner Inc. expects earnings to increase by 35 percent to 40 percent in the coming year..
“Robust growth in global vehicle production is expected in 2011, and we expect our sales growth to significantly outpace the market,” said Tim Manganello, BorgWarner Chairman and CEO.
BorgWarner gave 2011 earnings guidance of $3.85 to $4.15 per share compared to 2010 earnings guidance of $2.85 to $2.95 per share. The company expects 2011 operating margins to be 10.5 percent or better, which is higher than its historical operating margin guidance range of 8.5 percent to 9 percent.

Wesley Berry celebrates King’s birthday with free flowers

 Wesley Berry Flowers hosts their annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration event Monday, Jan. 17. Between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., they will be giving 12,000 roses in bunches of a dozen, free to any adult who visits the shop. Herbert named director of Beaumont Physician Partners
Michael Herbert has been named executive director of the Beaumont Physician Partners.
Herbert will be responsible for Beaumont’s physician-hospital strategic plan, including clinical integration between Beaumont’s hospitals, outpatient sites of care and physician practices. In addition, he will oversee the physician practice plan, support the recruitment and retention of faculty with proven experience in clinical care, education and research.
Herbert comes to Beaumont from Physicians Practice Group Inc. of Augusta, Ga., where he served as interim president and chief executive officer since July 2010, and the Medical College of Georgia, also of Augusta, where he held the position of executive associate dean for administration since 2007.
Herbert has ties to the metro Detroit area having served as associate dean of finance and administration, and executive director and treasurer, with the Wayne State University School of Medicine, University Physician Group.
Beaumont Hospitals is a three-hospital, regional health care system with 1,711 licensed beds and 3,700 physicians representing 91 medical and surgical specialties.

Butzel Long attorneys and shareholders Richard P. Manczak (in Ann Arbor) and Jeffrey D.
