SAE hosts State of the Industry meeting
The Detroit Section of SAE International will host a panel of automotive experts to discuss the current industry conditions at their State of the Industry Section Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at the San Marino Club in Troy. The program will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The State of the Industry panel discussion will commence at 7:30 p.m. Confirmed panelists include Dr. David Cole, Chairman Emeritus, Center for Automotive Research; Neil De Koker, President and CEO, Original Equipment Suppliers Association; Lonnie Miller, Vice President, Marketing and Industry Analysis, Polk; and Jason Stein, Editor, “Automotive News.” David L. Schutt, PhD, Chief Executive Officer, SAE International will serve as the moderator. Tickets are $40 for SAE members, $55 for non-members and $15 for SAE student members. Feb. 16: Tax assessment workshops offered
Oakland County will host three workshops to provide residents vital information about appealing property tax assessments for the March Board of Review. The workshops will be held: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Novi City Hall, 45175 West Ten Mile Road, Novi; 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 at Oakland Community College—Royal Oak Campus, Lilla Jones-Johnson Theater, Bldg D, 2nd floor, 739 S.
